Python Asia Organization: Strengthening Python Communities Across Asia

Introducing the Python Asia Organization (PAO), a non-profit dedicated to fostering the growth of Python programming across East and Southeast Asia. PAO aims to empower local organizers, cultivate leadership, and build a thriving network of diverse Python communities in the region.

This poster highlights PAO’s mission to promote Python programming and support the development of inclusive, sustainable events, including PyCon APAC. Attendees will learn about PAO’s goals, early achievements, and plans for global collaboration. The session offers a glimpse into the organization’s vision and invites the global Python community to connect and contribute.

This poster introduces the Python Asia Organization as a new and ambitious initiative. It will feature:

• Visuals representing the diversity of Python communities in East and Southeast Asia.
• Infographics on PAO’s mission, objectives, and future goals.
• Cultural elements from the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and other parts of Asia showcase regional unity.
• A QR code will be included to provide attendees with access to additional resources and contact information for collaboration opportunities.

We are submitting this poster to raise awareness of the newly established Python Asia Organization (PAO), which is working to build stronger regional collaboration among Python communities across Asia. As PyCon JP is a major event in the region, it is an ideal opportunity to introduce PAO's mission, invite participation from local communities, and share a vision for inclusive, sustainable event development such as PyCon APAC.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how PAO supports community development in Asia, discover ways to get involved or collaborate, and see examples of regional diversity in Python activities. They will also learn how local communities can benefit from being part of a broader regional initiative and how to connect through PAO’s resources and programs.
